Welcome to The Alt Reserve. These Terms of service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services. By visiting our site, browsing our offerings, or placing an order, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not accept or agree to them, you must refrain from using our website or making any purchases through it.

Throughout these Terms, references to The Alt Reserve,” “we,” “us,” and our refer to the business entity that owns and operates this website and offers goods and services to customers located within the United Kingdom. References to you and your refer to the individual user, customer, or visitor accessing the website or engaging with our services, whether as a guest or as someone with a registered account.

These Terms apply to all users of the website, including but not limited to browsers, customers, and individuals placing orders. They are intended to ensure transparency, compliance, and a positive experience for both parties. We recommend that you read them carefully and check this page periodically, as we reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon publication on our website, and continued use of the site will constitute your acceptance of any such revisions.

The Alt Reserve operates as a UK-based online store specialising in the sale of Pokémon trading cards, sealed packs, and related merchandise. Our website is hosted and powered by Shopify Inc., an established e-commerce platform that enables us to securely offer our products and manage transactions. As such, Shopify’s infrastructure supports our checkout system, payment processing, and general data handling in compliance with UK data protection laws.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these Terms or any other part of your interaction with us, you are encouraged to contact us via our customer support email: support@thealtreserve.co.uk.

6.4. Liability and Enforcement

(13) We reserve the right to request proof of age at any time and to cancel or refund any orders that breach our age restriction policy. (9) The Alt Reserve reserves the right to report and pursue legal action against any individual or entity found attempting to introduce counterfeit goods into our supply chain or product listings. (10) We will cooperate fully with intellectual property rights holders, anti-counterfeiting authorities, and brand enforcement teams to assist with investigations as needed.

(11) We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy toward all forms of counterfeiting activity, including the sale, substitution, repackaging, or modification of official Pokémon Trading Card Game products.

11. Products and Availability

(1) All products listed on The Alt Reserve website are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or modified at any time without notice. (2) While we make every effort to keep product listings up to date, we do not guarantee that items appearing as in-stock will be available at the time of purchase or dispatch.

(3) Product descriptions, images, and specifications are provided to the best of our ability and are intended for informational purposes only. (4) Packaging may vary from images shown due to changes from the manufacturer or regional variations. (5) We do not guarantee that the colours, layouts, or details displayed on your device precisely reflect the physical product.

(6) Pre-order products are offered with estimated release or dispatch dates provided by suppliers. (8) We reserve the right to cancel or refund pre-orders in the event of allocation issues or supplier shortages.

(9) All pricing is subject to change without prior notice and may vary depending on stock availability, distributor pricing, or promotional offers. (10) Prices displayed at the time of order placement are final unless an error or mispricing is identified prior to dispatch.

(11) The Alt Reserve reserves the right to limit the quantity of specific products available to a single customer or household in order to protect inventory levels and discourage bulk purchasing or reselling behaviour. (12) We may cancel or adjust orders that breach these limits without notice.

(13) In the rare event that an ordered item becomes unavailable after your purchase is confirmed, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer either a refund or suitable replacement.

(7) The Alt Reserve reserves the right to cancel an order at any time for reasons including, but not limited to: suspected fraud, pricing errors, inventory issues, or breach of these Terms and Conditions. (8) If an order is cancelled by us after payment has been taken, you will be issued a full refund to your original payment method.

(9) In the event of a system or stock error, where products are listed incorrectly or unavailable, we reserve the right to cancel affected orders and notify you promptly with refund details.

(10) We are not responsible for failed or incomplete orders resulting from issues with your payment provider, internet connection, or checkout errors. (11) If you do not receive an order confirmation, please check your spam folder or contact us for assistance.

13. Payment Terms

(1) All prices displayed on The Alt Reserve website are listed in GBP (£) and include applicable UK VAT unless otherwise stated. (2) Payment must be received in full before any order is processed, confirmed, or dispatched.

(3) We accept a range of secure payment methods including major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and any other payment options offered through our checkout platform via Shopify. (4) All transactions are processed using secure, PCI-compliant payment gateways to ensure the protection of your data.

(5) Payment details entered at checkout must be authorised by the cardholder or account owner. (6) Orders made using unauthorised or fraudulent payment information will be cancelled and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

(7) In the event of a payment failure, declined transaction, or suspected fraud, The Alt Reserve reserves the right to cancel the order without notice. (8) We may also request additional verification before accepting or dispatching high-value orders.

(9) If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to suspend the associated customer account and prohibit future purchases.

(10) Promotional codes, discounts, and store credits must be applied at checkout and cannot be added retroactively. (11) Only one promotional code may be used per order unless explicitly stated otherwise.

14. Shipping Policy

(1) The Alt Reserve aims to dispatch all in-stock orders within 1–3 working days from the time payment is received. (2) Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding UK public holidays. (3) While we make every effort to meet these timelines, occasional delays may occur during high-demand periods or due to courier service issues.

(4) All orders are shipped using trusted delivery partners such as Royal Mail and DPD depending on the shipping method selected at checkout. (5) A tracking number will be provided via email once your order has been dispatched.

(6) Shipping rates are calculated based on the total weight, size, and destination of the parcel. (7) The final shipping cost will be displayed at checkout before payment is confirmed.

(8) The Alt Reserve only ships to UK addresses at this time unless otherwise stated. (9) We do not currently offer international delivery. (10) It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate shipping details at the time of ordering. (11) We are not liable for lost, delayed, or undelivered parcels due to incorrect or incomplete address information.

(12) If a parcel is returned to us due to an undeliverable address or failure to collect from a local depot, the customer will be responsible for covering the cost of redelivery.

(13) Once a parcel has been dispatched, ownership and risk of loss transfer to the customer. (14) We are not responsible for any delays or disruptions caused by courier services, weather, customs, or other external factors beyond our control.

(15) In the event that your parcel is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 working days of the expected delivery date so we can investigate and assist with a resolution. (16) Claims made beyond this timeframe may not be eligible for compensation.

15. Returns and Refunds

(1) We accept returns for sealed, unopened products within 14 days of the delivery date. (2) To qualify for a refund, items must be returned in their original condition and packaging, free from any signs of tampering or damage.

(3) To initiate a return, please contact us at support@thealtreserve.co.uk with your order number and a brief explanation of the reason for return. (4) We will review your request and provide further instructions, including the appropriate return address and any applicable reference details.

(5) Opened, used, or tampered products—including individual booster packs or boxes—are not eligible for return or refund unless confirmed to be faulty. (6) If your item arrives damaged or defective, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery and include clear photographic evidence to support your claim.

(7) Once we receive and inspect the returned product, approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. (8) Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product was delivered in error or found to be faulty upon inspection.

(9) We do not offer refunds for: (a) a change of mind after a product has been opened, (b) dissatisfaction with pack contents or pull rates, or (c) minor cosmetic imperfections to external packaging that do not affect the usability or condition of the product inside.

(10) Refunds will only be processed once the returned item has been received and verified by our team. (11) We reserve the right to reject any return that fails to meet the above criteria or appears to have been deliberately tampered with.

16. Pre-Orders

(1) The Alt Reserve may offer select products for pre-order, allowing customers to reserve upcoming items prior to their official release or restock. (2) Pre-order items will be clearly marked on the product page with estimated dispatch or release dates provided by the manufacturer or supplier.

(3) All pre-orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase. (4) Your order will be reserved and shipped once the item is in stock and available for dispatch.

(5) Please note that all release dates are subject to change based on supplier availability, distribution delays, or changes by the manufacturer. (6) The Alt Reserve is not responsible for delays outside of our control and cannot guarantee specific delivery dates for pre-order items.

(7) If your order includes both in-stock and pre-order items, we may choose to hold the full order until all products are available for shipment. (8) Alternatively, you may be given the option at checkout or via email to split the shipment—additional shipping fees may apply in such cases.

(9) You may request to cancel a pre-order at any time before the item is dispatched by contacting support@thealtreserve.co.uk. (10) Cancellations made after dispatch will be subject to our standard Returns & Refunds policy (Section 10).

(11) In rare circumstances, pre-orders may be cancelled by us due to product allocation issues, supplier errors, or unexpected stock limitations. (12) In such cases, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method.

(13) The Alt Reserve reserves the right to limit the quantity of pre-order items available per customer to prevent unfair purchasing practices or bulk buying.

17. Force Majeure

(1) The Alt Reserve shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms of service due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. (2) Such events may include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, fires, floods, pandemics, strikes, labour disputes, transport delays, customs issues, supply chain disruptions, war, civil unrest, governmental restrictions, power outages, or failures of telecommunications networks.

(3) In the event of a force majeure occurrence, we will take all reasonable steps to minimise disruption and resume services as soon as practically possible. (4) However, we reserve the right to suspend, delay, or cancel affected orders or obligations without liability.

(5) Customers will be notified of any material delays or issues resulting from a force majeure event, and where applicable, may be offered alternative options such as refunds, store credit, or revised delivery timelines.

(6) The performance of our contractual obligations shall be deemed suspended for the duration of the force majeure event, and we shall be granted a reasonable extension of time for performance following the conclusion of such an event.

18. Changes to Terms

(1) The Alt Reserve reserves the right to update, modify, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice, to reflect changes in our business practices, legal requirements, or the services we offer. (3) It is your responsibility to review the Terms and Conditions periodically to ensure you are aware of the most current version. (4) Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

(5) If a significant change is made that materially affects your rights or obligations, we may provide additional notice via email or through a banner on the website, but we are not obligated to do so.
